Lady Antebellum
· Lady Antebellum formed in 2006 with Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood. The trio made their debut in 2007 as guest vocalists on Jim Brickman’s single “Never Alone,” a No. 14 hit on the Billboard Adult Contemporary charts. The trio also wrote a song for the MTV reality series “The Hills.” Their first country single, released at the end of 2007, was “Love Don’t Live Here.”
· Lady Antebellum won the Academy of Country Music’s Top New Duo or Group award in 2008, as well as New Artist of the Year from the Country Music Association. They also received a Best New Artist Grammy nod last year, while “Love Don’t Live Here” received a Grammy nod for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.
· Lady Antebellum’s self-titled debut hit No. 4 in its opening week in May 2008. Last week, in the disc’s 94th week on the chart, it climbed 1 spot to No. 15. “Love Don’t Live Here” peaked inside the Top 5. A second single, “Lookin’ for a Good Time,” peaked at No. 11. The single “I Run to You” marked their first No. 1.
· Lady A won the Group of the Year and Single of the Year for “I Run To You” at the CMA Awards in November 2009, ending Rascal Flatts’ six-year hold on the Vocal Group prize.
· Lady A debuted at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 and Country Charts in February 2010 with their second album, “Need You Now.” Singles include the title track and “American Honey,” which both hit No. 1. Their current single, “Our Kind Of Love,” is on track to hit No. 1.
· “Never Alone,” a special CD/DVD package containing Lady Antebellum’s 2008 collaboration with Brickman, came out earlier this year.
· Lady Antebellum has scored three spots in the Top 10 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart as their two studio albums “Need You Now” and “Lady Antebellum” were joined by the group’s newly released “iTunes Session” at the top.
· Lady A will appear on ABC’s “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock” special airing September 1st. The trio will also perform on the star-studded “Stand Up To Cancer Telethon” September 10th, airing simultaneously on NBC, ABC and CBS. They will also appear at Justin Timberlake’s annual benefit concert on October 23rd in Las Vegas. Proceeds benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children.
